Strategic analysis of the processes of tourism development in the Czech Republic


The Czech Tourism Authority – CzechTourism entrusted the consortium Ingolf Slovakia and DC VISION, experts in the field of tourism marketing, with elaborating a strategic analysis of the processes of tourism development in the Czech Republic and with preparing the recommendations for its improvement.


Tourism is a dynamic and perspective field, which affects the growth of the particular areas of the Czech Republic. Proper setting of the processes and initiation and management of the projects for tourism development are the key elements of the development of the Czech tourism.

The analysis aimed to assess the current tourism support by the Ministry for Regional Development as well as other organizations and institutions active in the field of tourism and also to evaluate the objectives and vision of tourism in the Czech Republic. The second part focused on the preparation of the strategic points to improve support for tourism based on the previous analysis.

The CzechTourism is a subsidized organization of the Ministry for Regional Development. Its principal mission is to create and maintain awareness of the Czech Republic as a country with a wide tourism potential and to create short and medium term strategies for the tourism marketing on the domestic as well as on the foreign markets.
