The management of HOBES initiated with our consultants the project Implementation of a system of continuous improvement

29th March, 2010, Horní Benešov

The principles of systems of continuous improvement are not a novelty in our country. Already the founder of the shoe-manufacturer BAŤA, Tomáš Baťa and later also Jan Antonín Bata tried to build their industrial empire on small improvements which came from the employees of Baťa’s enterprises.

We are proud that the management of HOBES signalled green to our common way of return to these ideas and that with the financial support of the Employment office in Bruntál it gave us the possibility to prepare and carry out the project „Autonomy of work-shops, responsibility and contribution to the result“, which main aim is to return to the successful methods and principles of the Baťa management system.

The company HOBES, spol. s r.o. continues the important tradition of locking devices which dates back to 1950 when the production of locks was launched under the name of Brano. The modern history of the company began with the privatization of the state enterprise in 1992 and the foundation of HOBES, spol. s r.o. with a 100% private ownership. The following period was characterized by extensive investments into technological devices, informatics and expansion on foreign markets.
Currently HOBES employs approximately 200 employees. In the year 2008 total turnover attained 205 million CZK, of which more than 28% came from export, predominantly to Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia and Germany.
