LEAN LEADERSHIP® for a global IT leader initiated

The company DC VISION in cooperation with international experts from our consultancy group Allied Consultants Europe (ACE) initiated the project LEAN LEADERSHIP® for a global leader in the supply of complete solutions in the IT area and the production of consumer electronics up to the production of parts for communication and electronic devices. Our client operates across the world, with research and production centres in the USA, Mexico, EU, Turkey, the Russian Federation and the Far East. In the Czech Republic he ranks among the Top 10 largest companies according to income.
The project was initiated with an analysis and initial workshop in the presence of members of the global and regional management. It will continue until August 2010 with a series of interactive workshops and consultancy services with the aim to increase labour productivity and overall efficiency of all processes. In the case of a successful pilot phase the project will be extended further to other production sites and more countries.
LEAN LEADERSHIP® is a unique service of ACE which was developed by the competence group “ACE Operational Excellence” in the years 2008 and 2009. The new innovative managerial approach combines classic methods of Lean Manufacturing with models of Leadership and innovation management. With the development of this unique service ACE/DC VISION reacts to the crisis in the automobile industry where prime world-class automotive companies failed exactly in the area of Leadership as they did not manage efficiently their dynamic growth. They overestimated consumer demand and did not create an efficient company culture in all production sites across the world.
Production systems develop over centuries. Models of mass production were revolutionary at the beginning of the last century, followed by Lean production systems which were being established since the 1950s. Now the acute need to innovate these out-of-date managerial models becomes visible. Not only the IT sector and consumer electronics have to react to the trends on the side of the consumers more than 4 to 8 times faster in comparison to the automotive industry and the classic Lean Manufacturing approach is thus not sufficient. The growth of other sectors and companies is much more dynamic and the need for fast and efficient changes is even more urgent. DC VISION/ACE developed this new managerial concept as a reaction to the results of the international study “ACE Lean Survey 2008”, in which more than 850 companies from the EU participated and which belongs consequently to the broadest managerial studies in the world regarding the number of companies involved (you can order the study HERE). Today we realize tens of projects of Lean Leadership® in the Czech Republic, European Union, Russian Federation and other countries in the world.
