Strategic partnership with the Maastricht School of Management
CMC Graduate School of Business, o.p.s.
DC VISION, s.r.o. in cooperation with the CMC Graduate School of Business o.p.s. reacts to the current new opportunities opened up by the world economic recession and broadens its offer of prestigious management programmes by a new global Executive MBA programme in cooperation with the Maastricht School of Management (MSM). The cooperation agreement between CMC and MSM is the first significant project which was possible thanks to the cooperation with the strategic partner DC VISION, s.r.o. through the use of the broad network of DC VISION’s partners in Western Europe. Part of the strategic cooperation with the Maastricht School of Management is also the development of services of International Consulting for clients in the public sector (European Commission, World Bank etc.).
The new programme Executive MBA (EMBA) is focused on managers from Central Europe who are doing business or who are considering an extension of their activities to a range of countries. The Maastricht School of Management is one of the largest management schools in Europe and its presence in more than 30 countries makes its offer unique across the world. The prestigious accreditations of the Association of MBAs (AMBA), the Association of Collegiate Business Schools (ACBSP) and of the Assembly of Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) are a guarantee for the high quality of the new services offered by CMC & MSM. The EMBA programme’s focus is on qualitative and quantitative improvements in global management with a specific focus on emerging markets.
The students of the new EMBA programme start their studies in the heart of the European Union, Maastricht, and continue further modules in Prague, Moscow and Shanghai. The current world economic crisis requires new competences and approaches from today’s managers, the ability to monitor world trends, to react to extensive transfers of financial and trade activities from traditional territories to Asian financial and commercial centres. Students of the new programme will have the opportunity to gain new experiences in these countries and to exchange their experiences with other EMBA students. The whole programme is designed in a way to support creative managerial thinking, pro-active approaches and real use of the new competencies and knowledge in everyday managerial practice.
The whole programme is divided into 7 intensive modules, each of them has a length of 9 days, in a two-year study programme incl. a final thesis. For participating in this prestigious programme it is necessary to fulfil the entry conditions incl. at least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, exams GMAT and TOEFL and above all a minimum of 5-year experience in active managerial practice. The level of entry experiences is going to be evaluated by guarantees at CMC and MSM during the entry proceeding which has to be passed at least two months before the beginning of the programme. With regard to the required high quality of the programme the maximum number of participants is limited for the courses EMBA. The first EMBA courses are planned for June 2009. The modules abroad are organisationally and expertly ensured by the new division CMC Executive Education.
In the framework of the cooperation between CMC and MSM a new weekend MBA programme was prepared with the focus on entrepreneurship and management on the EU’s markets. The Weekend MBA (WMBA) is an equivalent and equally prestigious programme for managers who wish to attain success on the markets of the EU and gain more experiences in our European region but who prefer the weekend form of studies. The programme is also a two-year programme and the entry conditions are similar to those for the EMBA programme. The new courses WMBA in cooperation with the MSM are planned to start in September 2009.
Further information about the offered programmes will be at disposal not only through the website of CMC but also through the consultants in the offices of CMC and DC VISION in Prague, Čelákovice, Opava and from the second half of March also in Brno and Bratislava.
